Celebrating Best Buddies 20th Anniversary

November 21, 2009 - Benedictine University hosted a 20th Anniversary Celebration for Best Buddies that was attended by over 200 guests. The Best Buddies Chapter leaders planned the party, and Buddy Director, Erika Kissel, a 10 year Best Buddies vet, came up with the idea for the celebration after attending Leadership Conference over the summer.
It was a night of dinner, dancing, and a whole lot of fun with guests from Benedictines chapter of Best Buddies, two high school chapters, family members, and friends.
The hard work was all pulled off by the Benedictine Officer Corps. and multiple planning committees. In the end, community support form restaurants such as Noodles & Company and The Olive Garden, along with avid Best Buddies Supporter DJ Music by Mark, allowed the top-notch event to have an inexpensive entry fee of $5 per person even college students on a budget could afford that! |
